"FRESH" Challenge

This week the photo challenge was "Fresh". In these cold temps I had a hard time getting some sort of inspiration. I tried these two, but wasn't feelin it.

First I thought "Fresh Fruit"




Then I thought "Fresh Seafood"




In the end I chose "Fresh outta the Tub"




I just wish I had shaved my legs and taken the old polish off my toenails first...This took a lot of tries to get it just right.

The Arch

I can't believe I didn't think to post this! Here is the famous arch in Cabo. Lee and I had a great day on the boat, drank some margaritas (virgin for me), saw the arch, went snorkeling, saw the resort where they filmed The Hearbreak Kid, had some lunch, napped on the boat and came back to the hotel! Great day, and a great honeymoon :)

A little photo comparison

I am VERY novice at this photoshop stuff. I have NO idea how to use it but the more I play, the more fun I have. It's a fantastic program however I find myself ignoring my family and my house just so I can play! LOL

I thought I'd do a little photo comparison. Here is the SOOC shot.



And now the photoshopped photo. I made the sky a tad more blue, lightend it a few times, added the Lovley and Ethereal action from PW, a quick edge burn and I lightend the glass on the lamp. Voila! A whole new picture! What do you think? What would you do differently?

This Old Church

One of my favorite places to go as a child was to the O'Keefe Ranch in Vernon BC. I am fasinated with this church. I tend to stare at it everytime I drive by. Keep in mind I risked my life to take this photo.

It's a Girl!

I've always wanted a girl....so you can imagine my excitement when the Ultrasound Tech told me I was carrying a girl! I ran out and bought this ornament that day. It's my new favorite

Best Buds

Here is Aidan and his good buddy Dayton. It has taken me almost three years to acheive a photo where they look like the are actually enjoying each others company. The boys will be 3 in April.

I'm oddly proud

I don't know why, but I'm oddly proud of this picture. I took it today before I took down the decorations (yes I know it's Jan 6th and I STILL have my tree up). Its one of my favorite Christmas ornaments. It's because I think it's beautiful and also because it's my very first ornament I got when living on my own. It was painted by my very talented friend Kathy Renaud.

Here is my little cousins hands. I was so happy to finally meet her. My camera was in her face for the whole 2 hour visit.

My First Picture on the Blog!

Ok, who am I kidding....I can't just post ONE picture!!!


Meet Aidan. Love of my life. The reason I get out of bed in the morning. Usually because he wakes me up to make me get him breakfast. I love him more than anything...You'll get to know him well.


I was introduced to The Pioneer Woman's blog about a year ago, and then again just recently when I got photoshop. I downloaded her actions and they have been a great jumping off point. I've learned quite a bit about Photoshop from her actions so a big thanks to her.

The last photo is mine...Some people like the blur, some people don't....I dunno. I'm still on the fence.....

I am just a (somewhat) stay at home mom who loves to take pictures. I love creating art-always have and I feel that photography is something that I have an eye for. I am constantly learning and growing. I feel like I'm just starting my art and hope that you enjoy it as much as I do.
